Your Vision Conference Adventure Awaits

Wondering what to do during your winter break? Come to Vision Conference in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Not only will you experience a multi-cultural conference but you will get to explore a unique place as well. The best part will be living out this adventure with new and old friends from over 60 different countries.

Denver’s population is rapidly growing as young people flock to this perfect blend of city life and nature. They are drawn to the possibilities that a big city brings as well as the tranquility of the mountains. Just outside the city are the Rocky Mountains, the longest mountain range in the U.S. and second longest in the world! You’ll be able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains from our hotel.

During Vision, we have two afternoons of touring so that you can experience both the city and nature that surrounds us. Here are some of the things you’ll be able to do those afternoons:

December 29th

During this afternoon, we will experience the beautiful nature of Colorado by visiting the Garden of the Gods Nature Center. The Garden of the Gods is located in Colorado Springs (about 1 hour away from Denver) and is a National Natural Landmark. It is a great representation of the Colorado landscape and a unique thing to see during your time in the U.S.

The Garden of the Gods is an important location for many Native American peoples. By visiting, you will also get the chance to learn more about their culture.

The Garden of the Gods is famously known for its red rocks that are in a variety of shapes and sizes. One of the most famous rock formations found here, Balanced Rock is the perfect place to take a photo!

You will also be able to see Pike’s Peak, one of the tallest points in the country.

During your trip out to the Garden of the Gods and back, you’ll have the chance to see more of the beautiful Colorado landscape and perhaps a lot of snow! Be sure to pack warm clothes, temperatures range between 16 and 43 degrees Fahrenheit (-8 and 6 degrees Celsius). Exploring won’t be near as much fun if you don’t have a jacket and gloves!

December 31st

During this afternoon, we will experience the vibrant city of Denver. Our hotel is located centrally in downtown Denver, giving you the chance to explore the city for a few hours. You have the freedom to decide with your friends where you would like to visit.

Some of the most well-known locations in downtown Denver include:

  • Larimer Square: known as Denver’s “most historic block,” this is where the city actually began. It continues to be an exciting part of the city to this day, with restaurant and shopping options. Learn more here.
  • Union Station: this 100-year-old historic landmark was recently renovated and includes shopping and dining options as well. Learn more here.
  • 16th Street Mall: a mile-long mall in the center of downtown that includes many things to do for tourists. Learn more here.

We’ll give you more recommendations at the conference to help you get the most out of your time in Denver. Between these two touring afternoons, we believe that you will get the authentic Colorado experience.
